Nightmare

I just woke up from a nightmare. It wasn't anything about monsters. It involved someone I really cared about. They didn't die or anything. They left me. They left me for someone else and they didn't give me a real reason. I asked them why and they said they had always been like this. There were parts that made no sense now that I think about it but I was more focused on the nightmare. It seemed so real, too. I woke up crying and that's never happened to me before. I called up this person and they told me that would never happen but I'm not sure. I don't know what to think at this point. I've left out specific parts of the nightmare for personal reasons.

Stitches

So a few days ago, my family and I went to a provincial park to go swimming. We didn't like the beach area because it was crowded so we went to a different section. This section was nice and the water was very clear. The only problem was that it was very rocky and there were many snails and small clams attached to the rocks. We didn't think much of it and before long, all of us were in the water.

After awhile, my parents and my older sister went out of the water. I was left by myself to look after my little sister. I was playing with her and everything was all fine and dandy but then I turned my back on her for ONE FUCKING SECOND and the next thing I knew, she was crying out, "Mommy, I cut myself!" She wasn't kidding. When she got back to shore, her left knee was punctured and it was bleeding.

(SIDE NOTE: A few minutes prior to this, my mom had pointed out that there were sharp shells on the rocks. This was like a premonition and it creeped me out when I thought about it later. ((((;゜Д゜))))

My parents freaked out - or rather, my dad freaked out and blamed it all on me while my mom was calm and collected and said that it was just an accident. And so we packed our things, got back into the van and drove home. After my parents put my older sister and I in charge of looking after the house, they took my little sister to the hospital. When they got back, she had four stitches.

Fortunately, things are back to normal and my dad has calmed down. At this moment, my little sister is watching YouTube videos on the tablet and she's laughing. I'm glad she's doing well. ヽ(;▽;)ノ

Update and Mini Rant

I haven't posted anything new lately and the reason for that is because leadership got in the way. By the end of each day, I was tired. ミ●﹏☉ミ Last week was especially tiring because there were two assignments to do and a test to study for. I would've posted something this week if not for some drama that happened in the drama room. I would've posted something last night if not for some drama in my own home.

But now I have time to spare and I can write in peace without anyone reading over my shoulder as I type. So here goes!

As I type this, it is 5:40AM on Friday, July 27, 2012 which just so happens to be the day I finish leadership! (“⌒∇⌒”) Technically yesterday was the last day but in any case, hurrah! I don't have to deal with the bratty kids - most were nice - anymore. I'm waiting those BKs to come to school and get in trouble with the teachers for their poor attitude. To be honest, if they keep it up, they're not going to graduate.

While we're on the topic of kids, apparently my school is getting 200+ grade nines this year. (ノ゚0゚)ノ~ That's fucking insane. We don't have that many seats in our auditorium. How the fuck are we going to fit everyone in there? щ(゜ロ゜щ) Make people sit on other people's laps? Like, seriously. Also, the third floor will be even more hectic. It's always crowded up there and having 200+ more students isn't going to help. Then there's the lunch room situation. (These kids better not take my lunch table of 3 years. ಠ_ಠ)

That's all I have to say for now. I didn't intend for this post to be so long nor for it to end as a rant but oh well. I'll get back to eating my dinner/breakfast (dinnerfast? breakner? I don't know.) now so ciao! ♥

Little Sister's Birthday

Today is my little sister's, Val, 10th birthday. I woke up at 8:30PM to bake a vanilla cake with her. Actually, she did most of the work. I just told her what to do. The only part I actually helped in was the part where we put on the chocolate frosting. (´ω`♡%)

At 10AM, her friends arrived. They're two girls named R and J. They played with Val for awhile and when 12PM came, we - the girls, my sisters, my mom, and I - left for the mall. First, we ate (I shared with my older sister) and after that, we went to check out the bookstore.

Everyone went their separate ways from there: the little girls went to the kiddy section with my mom, my older sister, Viv, headed to the teen section, and I went to the writing corner. I picked out a book on writing tips and R and J got one book each. As for Val, she got 5 books. My mom paid for them all. Luckily, one of her students gave her a discount card. ♡^▽^♡

By the time we finished purchasing the books, the time for the movie was close. We bought a few drinks and entered the theatre as soon as possible to snag good seats. We watched Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted and it was surprisingly very good. (^▽^) (I loved Captain Chantel Dubois and Vitaly!)

After that, we bought some sushi, went home, and ate cake. At 7PM, Val's friends went home. Now, as I'm writing this, my mom, Viv, and I are watching a movie called The Shining. It's an 80's movie and it's freaky as fuck. ヽ(;▽;)ノ I should pay more attention to it now so I'll be on my way.

Leadership Course - Week One

Last Tuesday I started my leadership course. I should have made posts for every day since then but I've been too lazy. Instead, I'll use short point forms! ヽ(;▽;)ノ As for this week, I'm hoping to make individual posts for each day. Without further ado, here is how my first four days in my summer course went.

July 3: Tuesday

  • met with my course supervisor, Mr. D, and the other volunteers
  • showed the niners around the school
  • helped serve food in the cafeteria
  • went outside and played games with the niners
  • got a popsicle but it broke and fell on my way home

July 4: Wednesday

  • basically the same as Tuesday

July 5: Thursday

  • accompanied the class I was assigned to
  • did some math activities
  • did some English activities
  • lunch break
  • played volleyball in gym
  • relaxed in tech class

July 6: Friday

  • went to an outdoor field centre
  • played group games
  • tried building a tower out of spaghetti
  • went hiking
  • mistook a boy to be another boy's twin brother OTL

Cottage Trip

Long overdue but here goes!

I was at a cottage from June 24th to June 29th. I went with my family, my uncle, his girlfriend, and their dog, Happy.

From the outside, the cottage looked nice and clean. However, the inside was completely different. The floor was dusty and the washroom set up was completely fucked up. There was a hallway and one of the washrooms was in the center of it. The shower was also a mess. The water pressure was so weak and the water was so hot. I had to stand close to the shower head and shower with cold water. It was awful. (*´;ェ;`*)

The place we rented is right in front of a nice, beautiful lake. The majority of my days were spent inside watching TV. (The weather was too wet for me.) My mom caught a lot of sunfish and bass. She would usually just sit and watch the rest of us fish. Now, it seems that fishing is all she ever wants to do. We also had a peddleboat that we could peddle out on the lake. I went on it with my sister and oh my god, it was torture getting back to the dock. (´;ω;`)

That whole week consisted of us watching TV, going fish, going on the peddleboat, going on the motor boat, playing outside in the yard, hoping no one will open the washroom doors when we're using it, and getting bitten by mosquitoes. Overall it was a fun week. The only downside of going there is that I have a shit ton of Youtube videos to catch up on. Ugh. Σ(-`Д´-ノ;)ノ

Canada Day

I went up to Vaughan yesterday to my dad's friend's house. They were hosting a get together. I didn't really do anything there. I played Rock Band, ate food, watched TV, and that was basically it. The girl who lives there, T, is a childhood friend of mine. We talked but it was... in a formal manner. We used to be so close - her, my sister, and I - but then things changed and we changed and I guess our bond faded with time. To be blunt: it was sad to see how friendships can wither away. (︶︹︺)

At 10PM, Wonderland was setting off fireworks and I got to see it from the balcony. When they ended, the adults started karaoking to some. At around 11:30PM, after many attempts of bribery and pleading, my dad agreed that it was time to go home. All was going swell in the car until my very drunk dad said something that ticked off my mom. They started arguing and the atmosphere got really tense. I hope they settle things out. I hate it when they argue. ヽ(o`皿′o)ノ

Anywho, I should be asleep but I felt the need to write a new post. It's been awhile since I last updated because of my trip to the cottage. Speaking of that, I'll write up a post of my trip later today - hopefully. And that will conclude this post. (⌒▽⌒)☆

Morning Meetup

It's 4:23AM right now and I have to be at school at 9:00AM. My exams are over but there's a meeting for the summer volunteers. I happen to be one of them. I'm not sure what it's about or how long it will take. We'll probably be introduced to our supervisor or something like that. In any case, I should be sleeping but I can't. I just woke up two hours ago from a 5 hour long 'nap.' FML. ( TДT)

Four Out of Four

Guessed who finished all of her exams? That's right, me! It was biology and law and it lasted the whole day. I'm confident I'll pass with flying colours. The only difference between yesterday and Tuesday is that instead of roaming the hallway, I went to the library. IT HAD AIR CONDITIONING. ∩(︶▽︶)∩ I was so happy!

After my law exam, I went to meet up with my friend, N, at the library. We were going to K-Town together along with two of our other friends, W and V. N and I got onto the bus and surprisingly, it was the same one W was on! When we were all gathered at the subway, we made our way to K-Town.

N and I were starving so we ate first while W and V walked around in the scorching heat (the suckers.) We went to a Korean restaurant and ordered bibambap and dumplings. Yes, we shared one meal because we knew we couldn't finish it all by ourselves from previous restaurant experiences. (〃 ̄ω ̄〃ゞ

Once we were done, we met back up with W and V and went to a karaoke place! It was my second time going there and it was just as fun as the first time. We couldn't sing for shit but that was what made the whole thing amazing. When the hour ended, N and I left to go home while W and V stayed to it.

We went on the subway together but her stop came before mine. It was my second time going on the bus alone so I wasn't sure which bus to take. Fortunately, N said 35A and once I got to my stop, 35A came. I was able to get home before the thunderstorm started. To end, it was a wonderful day! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Two Out of Four

I had two exams today - my English and physics. I stayed up to 3:00AM the night before studying for physics and when I woke up, it was 8:30AM. My English exam started at 9:00AM so I didn't have time to eat a proper breakfast. I just bolted out of the house with a juice box and speed-walked like my life depended on it.

I got there on time and it was easy. We just had to answer a few questions and write an essay relating to one of the works we studied. It took me awhile to answer the questions so when it came to time to write the essay, I only had 40 minutes left. I didn't have a brainstorm or anything. I basically bullshitted 5 paragraphs. ヽ( ̄д ̄;)ノ

When I finished, I headed to the library with the intention of spending my spare time studying for physics. When I was in the hallway, I bumped into Mr. G. He told me his wife loved what I did with the wrapping and she even took a photo of it to show her "scrapbooking sisters." I was very happy! That was the highlight of my day. ヾ(@† ▽ †@)ノ

In the end, I didn't go to the library because it was locked and all the teachers were busy doing something. I would have gone to the caf but that was closed, too. I ended up staying in a stairway with my textbook open and my notes on my lap. People probably thought that I was a loner... ; u ;

When it came time for my physics exam, I was not ready at all. I spent my time studying the facts instead of the actual application so the calculation part of the exam screwed me over. I guessed for the multiple choice part, too. Heck, 80 percent of my exam was pure guessing. I'm hoping I just pass with a decent mark. 。・゚゚・(>д<)・゚゚・。

Just two more exams to go and I'll be free~~ (until July 3rd.)

Sunny Day

Today we got our yearbooks and let me tell you, it is amazing. Our editor, let's call her H, designed everything. The cover is beautiful, the pages are organized nicely and most of the pictures are high quality. The title, instead of the standard school name, is "Worth a Thousand Words." I just love it.

I got my close friends and some of my teachers to sign mine. Some 10th graders in my biology class bombarded me when I was going to the BBQ because they saw what I wrote in my friend's sister's yearbook and wanted something like that. I didn't know what to write so I bullshitted it.  (一。一;;)

All in all, it was a pretty good day. Mr. G liked my little gift for him, I got a hotdog and I got to spend time with my gal pals. It would have been even better if I got to spend time with my boyfriend, D, but alas, he had things to do and I was getting tired of waiting for him outside in the hot sun. (;≧皿≦)

Wrapping Raisins

I went to Walmart today (or rather yesterday) to find some raisins for Mr. G. I found out on Friday that he likes them so I figured why not. Besides, my class hasn't been the... best and it was the least I could do to show my appreciation for him teaching and not giving up on us.

Anywho, so there I was with my little sister. We were wandering through the food aisles looking for raisins. I was getting frustrated because I was looking but I couldn't find them anywhere. Then I found my dad - he has a habit of going off on his own - and I asked him for help.

He found it in 2 tries. I felt so stupid. (u_u)

When we got home, I decided to wrap the raisins. They were already in a rectangle shape but I wanted to make it more aesthetically pleasing. And so I took a blue A4 paper and started measuring and folding and cutting out the word 'enjoy' to have a glass-window effect.

It took me 3 hours. OTL

Oh well, at least it looks - somewhat - decent. I hope Mr. G. likes it. (He better like it after all the time I put into doing it!)

Lazy Saturday

Today I don't feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don't feel like picking up my phone
So leave a message at the tone
'Cause today I swear I'm not doing anything.
- Bruno Mars

This is me at the moment. I'm not doing anything - well, not the things I should be doing. Like study for my exams. I'm just sitting in front of my laptop looking for things I can sew. I'll eventually focus but for now... back to scrolling. ╮(─▽─)╭

Monochrome Cake Bars

This whole week I've woken up at 5:30am. I would usually sleep in until 7 but today I decided to stay up and make those Neapolitan cake bars. I couldn't find any strawberry cake mix though so I can't really call them Neapolitan... (Maybe I should call them Monochrome?)

Anyhow, the prep took 30 minutes. (Thank goodness today is a late start!) When it was in the oven baking, I got really nervous because there was this burning smell. (;° ロ°) It turned out I was just paranoid because when I removed the cake, it was normal. It was a bit lopsided but normal nonetheless!

Then I gave a piece to my mom and sisters and according to them, it tasted fine. Mission accomplished! o(≧∇≦o) Now I'll just feed them to my friends today at lunch and see what they think of my first solo cake attempt. I'm hoping they like it, along with the magnets from Disney World I was supposed to give them in September and the ribbons I made from magazine pages last night when I was supposed to be studying for exams.

...

My priorities are messed up. OTL

EDIT: I gave them to my friends and they liked it! I plan to make cupcakes or cookies next.

Neapolitan Cake Bars

After hours of searching for an easy cake recipe, I finally found one! The instructions are pretty simple and judging from the comments, the cake bars taste really good. All I have to do is buy the ingredients and pan and I'll be good to go. I want them to be perfect because I'll be giving them to my friends on Friday. (⌒▽⌒)☆

Lonely Sunday

I was fine with being alone. All I had to worry about was myself. I thought that if I opened myself up to others, they'd take advantage of it and use everything I told them against me. I was scared at the idea of being hurt.

But then in December 2011 I let someone into my life for the first time. I let him know the real me. It was supposed to be just a crush. I had no idea that I would like him this much, that I would get so attached.

That's what surprised me most. I had changed. I was no longer fine with being alone. I didn't ever want to be alone again. I think that's what drove me to react so harshly last night. I wanted things to go back to normal.

I wanted to go back to normal.

He hasn't text me at all today. I don't blame him. I told him to 'Leave me alone.' I should make the first move but I'm too stubborn to say sorry. And even if I did, would he accept it? There's only one way to find out...

But I'm scared he hates me.

Productive Saturday

Today has been very productive for me! I finished up my cover letter and resume and applied to be a Gate Attendant at the CNE. I'm also planning on applying for more jobs but I need references. I'm hoping to get them from Ms. A and Ms. L on Monday. With that said, I'll just get back to finishing up this isu now. φ(・ω・` )

Sixty-Three Percent

Biology
Mr. J gave us a quiz on the Hardy-Weinberg Principle. It didn't study for it since it resembled the formula x2 + 2xy + y2 and I got the gist of what we had to do. We then took up some classwork so now all I have to do this weekend is study for a quest on Monday on bacteria, viruses, and protists.

Physics
Mr. E handed back our tests. I got 63%. ╥﹏╥ I'm not fazed the slightest since I had a feeling it would be bad but if I tell my parents, they'll flip out. That's why I'm keeping this mark on the down low. In other news, we had to do a lab assignment individually with magnets. It counts for 5% of our mark. I hope I get near perfect so it balances out my crappy test mark.

Law
Ms. A finally gave back our essays. I got a really good mark considering I bs'd the whole thing. We then spent the class going through what to do and what not to do on an essay. It was so boring but apparently it'll come in handy when we begin writing up our independent study unit that's due Monday.

English
We finished watching 'A Simple Plan.' At the end, Mr. G asked the class the same question I was wondering about yesterday. Σ(゜ロ゜;) Creepy, huh? Since we had 15 minutes to spare, the class went on to talk about relationships. I didn't really pay attention. I blame it all on Brick Breaker.

Counting Beans

Biology
We had to count beans. Each group had to get 100 brown beans and 100 white beans, mix them up in a container, take out 100 beans at random, count how many of each beans there were, double the number, and change the amount of each bean accordingly. We had to do this 8 times. It was so tedious and I was in no state to do any counting... so I let my group members do the bulk of it. ヽ(^。^)丿

Physics
There was a test on sound and waves. I think I failed it. Don't get me wrong, I studied for it... last minute... at 3 in the morning...

Law
We spent the whole time working on our independent study unit. I was so bored, I actually finished two thirds of it.

English
We watched the movie 'A Simple Plan.' It's a pretty interesting movie and it got me thinking, "What would I do  if I came across $4 million?"
